Construction of a Residue Hydro Conversion, Integrated Hydro Treatment Unit (RHC) which is the main process unit within the Shell Canada Alberta Oil Sands Project

PCL, contracted to Technip Italy, constructed the Delayed Coker and the Diluent Recovery Units of the Primary Upgrader. The work included installation of temporary construction facilities, earth works, cast-in-place piling, deep and shallow undergrounds, cast-in-place and pre-cast concrete foundations, concrete paving, structural steel erection, building erection, heavy lifts, module installation, equipment installation, piping installation, insulation of major equipment, and construction of plant roads.
