The Alliance Alberta Compressor Station project was a grassroots general civil, piping, mechanical and electrical project involving the installation of five gas turbine compressor units; three at the Windfall site and one each at the Morinville and Irma sites. Other major equipment installed at each site included aerial gas coolers, fuel gas skids, MCC and control building skids, LCM skids and filter houses. Direct hire work included concrete foundations, pipe fabrication, pipe, equipment, and structural steel installation and instrumentation. Subcontracted work included piling, reinforcing steel, earthwork, electrical, structural steel fabrication, HVAC, insulation, pipe coatings and painting and pre-engineered buildings.
